SPORT CENTRE “GRIPE”

This complex is built in the late 1970s, for the 1979 Mediterranean Games. It is a part of the Sport Recreation Centre (SRC). It features four indoor halls, two fitness venues, offices, a Museum of Sports, conference halls, numerous shops, a coffee bar, and restaurants. It has been used to host many international sports events, as well as concerts and conferences. The capacity of the smallest indoor hall is 1,100 people, the medium one is 3,500 and the largest one is 6,000. The venues have been used as the home arenas of the first and second-division basketball, handball and futsal teams.

The biggest and the smallest venues will be used for the competition of the EUSA Futsal 2023. They are located 1.1km from the accommodation.

SPORT HALL BAZENI “POLJUD”

Bazeni Poljud sports centre is in the northwestern part of the city of Split, right next to Poljud City Stadium. SC Bazeni Poljud is located in a spacious area of about 32,254.00 m² and consists of a judo hall, a multipurpose hall, a gymnastics hall, fitness centres, a wrestling hall, a boxing hall, a bowling alley, a fencing venue, an Olympic pool, a water-polo pool and outdoor swimming pool with diving board. Multipurpose hall – 1088.00 m2. The hall is used for volleyball, handball, and futsal. The hall has grandstands with approximately 330 seats, and various competitions and events can be held inside. It is located 4.1km from the accommodation.

TRAINING VENUES

To make sure that teams can have logistic support in maintaining their technical and tactical level, two venues will be available for training purposes only. Although not filling length and width requirements (36x18) situated in a student dormitory, the Campus sports venue might be ideal for relaxing or tactical training, due to its location. Together with the venue, fitness with the small hall inside of it could be used for the team’s needs.

Another training venue is located 1.3km from the accommodation, called Zdravstvena škola (Šoltanska 15).
